Mrs. Helen Love Kinzer, 83, died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at her residence on South High Street. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan and Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Lewis County native was the daughter of the late Ernest Love and Anna Dell Dycus Love and a 1942 graduate of Columbia Central High School. A long-time active member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ, she and her husband, the late Bill Kinzer, Sr., were instrumental in establishing Maury Christian Camp. Mrs. Kinzer remained active in camp activities following his death in 1979. She was a member of the Maury County Bridle & Saddle Club and served as a volunteer for Mule Day activities. Other memberships included the Daughters of the Confederacy and Maury County Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dianne Kinzer of Springfield, Illinois; two grandsons, Jon Kinzer of Springfield, Illinois and David Kinzer of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, Lewis and Winnie Love of Columbia; sister-in-law, Faye Lentz Kinzer of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Walter Dycus, Michael Orr, Paul Ring, Tommy Gilliam, Elliotte Kinzer, and James Bryant. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Kesler, Robert M. McKay, Jr., Daniel Goad, Vernon Witherow, Steve McEwen, David Kirk, Carl May, Lamar Goad, and Harvey Spann.
