Mrs. Helen Eileen Goss Rusby, 84, resident of Blackburn Lane, died Friday, December 6, 2002 at Heritage Manor. A memorial service will be conducted Monday at 4:30 P.M. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Patrick Connor officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:30 - 4:30 P.M. at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rusby was a native of Chicago Heights, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late William Allen Goss and Helen McMillan Goss. She graduated from Business College in Springfield, Illinois. She and Mr. Rusby had made their home in Richardson, Texas, for many years and she had acquired over 9,000 hours as a Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas Volunteer. Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, Robert Crandall Rusby of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Anne (Bill) Draper of Columbia; one son, Retired Colonel Bill (Ann) Rusby of Camano Island, Washington; one brother, Bill (Anna Mae) Goss of Springfield, Illinois; two grandsons, William Robert Draper and John Batts Draper, both of Columbia; one niece, Mrs. Julie Kuntz of Springfield, Illinois.
