Mrs. William D. Wall Mrs. Helen Gertrude Patten Wall, 97, widow of William D. Wall and resident of Haylong Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at NHC Hillview. A prayer service will be conducted Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Friends will visit Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Patten and Gertrude Law Patten. She was retired employee of the Federal Government and a member of the National Association of Federal Retired Employees. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church and active in the Christian Women's Club. Survivors include two step-sons, Richard H. "Dick" Wall of Sevierville, Tennessee and Robert "Bob" Wall of Havertown, Pennsylvania; a niece, Barbara H. Thompson McGee of Wildwood, New Jersey; four step-grandchildren; special friends, Everlene and Max Stephenson of Mt. Pleasant and Carolyn Looper of Columbia.
