MR. HERMAN NALL Mr. Herman Virgil Nall, 67, retired Sergeant 1st Class with the United States Army, died Friday, August 1, 2003, at his residence on Fly Road in Santa Fe. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Fox officiating. Burial will be in Theta Baptist Cemetery with full military honors provided by Lawrenceburg VFW Post 1618. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Williamson County native was the son of the late James Herman Nall and Annie Lee Sullivan Nall. He retired from the United States Army after serving twenty-two years including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was a logging and heavy equipment operator and was active in mule pulling. He was a member of Theta Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anderson Nall of Santa Fe; son, James H. Nall of Santa Fe; daughter, Shirley (Darrell) Pruitt of Santa Fe; special son and daughter, Vince and Susie Vinson of Columbia; two granddaughters, Shelby Pruitt and Shauna Pruitt both of Santa Fe; special family, W.E. and Nita King, Freddie, Charlene, Alissa and Gerri Lancaster, Will, Kelly and Maddy Pullum; brother, Percy Nall of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Hattie Lee King of Ashland City, Margie (John) Jewell of Columbia, Betty (J.B.) Turpin of Lewisburg; and two sisters-in-law, Edna Nall of Bellevue and Alemeda Nall of White Bluff. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Nall, Houston Nall and James Melvin Nall. Pallbearers will be Freddie Lancaster, W.E. King, Will Pullum, Lonnie Forriest, Bud McEwen and Fletcher "Ott" Osborne.
