View Funeral Webcast EHerschel Wayne Tomlin, 64, former owner of Ceramics and Bargains, former employee of Heil-Quaker, and retired employee of Conalco, died Friday, April 24, 2020 at his residence in Mt. Pleasant. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at Glenwood Cemetery with Pastor Steven Morgan officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born March 6, 1956 in Williamson County, he was the son of the late Herschel Ray Tomlin and the late Betty Joanne Goad Tomlin Hanson. Mr. Tomlin was a member of Millwright Union and the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, whom he married, May 5, 1987, Linda Fay Hickman Tomlin of Mt. Pleasant; children, Dewaena (Jimmie) Lee of Tampa, Florida; Kimberly Mills of Columbia; Heather (Brad) Brewer of Columbia; Christopher Wayne (April) Cotten of Columbia; grandchildren, Joshua Alvin Lee of Tampa, Florida; Cortney Mae Moore of Columbia; Ashley Nichole Hill of Columbia; Robert Wayne Keith Hill of Columbia; Bradley Wayne Brewer of Columbia; Haley Fay (Nathan) Brewer of Columbia; four great grandchildren; sister, Brenda (Greg) Chapman of Loretto; and his little girl, Sassy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Marie Tomlin. Active pallbearers will be Brian Hill, Shane Hickman, Eddie Mosley, Athan Jones, Bradley Brewer, Robert Hill, Joshua Lee, Billy Ray Huckaby, Eric McCandless, and his cousins. Honorary pallbearers include past employees of Ceramics and Bargains.
