Mrs. Hildred Cleo Thompson Tomlinson, 74, widow of Merrit Booker Tomlinson and life-long resident of Quality Street in the Culleoka Community, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services for Mrs. Tomlinson will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Milton Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Wilkes Cemetery in Culleoka. the family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Arthur Daniel Thompson and Eula Lee Rainey Thompson. She was retired from the cafeteria at Culleoka School and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a sister, Norma Wright of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Foster Thompson of Hendersonville and Danny Thompson of Nashville; sister-in-law, Betty Lee Tomlinson Gibson and brother-in-law, Joe London; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva London and a brother, Don Thompson. Active pallbearers are David Creasy, Bryan Thompson, Hardy Loyd, Chester Pendergrass, Michael Nix, and Jason London. Honorary pallbearers include Lewis McMillion, Lance Corporal David Creasy, and former co-workers at Culleoka School Cafeteria.
