Mr. William Homer Malugin, 74, retired employee of Union Carbide Corporation died Thursday, April 7, 2005, at his residence on New Cut Road. A memorial service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess on Mt. Pleasant Pike with Eric Sandusky officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. The Hickman County native was the son of the late William Henry Malugin and Hattie Cavender Malugin and served in the U. S. Army in Korea. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include his wife, Betty Worley Malugin of Columbia; one son, Ricky Wayne Malugin of Nashville; one daughter, Debra Dian (Roy) Pickett of Shelbyville; two stepsons, James Worley of Cross Plains; Roger Worley of Sneffer, Florida; two sisters, Mamie (John Ed) Allen and Ruby (James) Potts of Columbia; five grandchildren, Benjamine Malugin, Jerimey Malugin, and Beth Johns, all of Nashville; Rosson Pickett and Destin Pickett, both of Shelbyville; three step-grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
