Hope Elizabeth Bernhart Hood

Hope Elizabeth Bernhart Hood, 73, resident of Columbia, and retired LPN for Maury Regional Medical Center, died Thursday, December 21, 2023 at her residence.

Born February 18, 1950, in Chicago Heights, IL, she was the daughter of the late Donald Norman Bernhart and the late Louise Burna Davis Bernhart. Mrs. Hood loved going on family trips, and enjoyed gardening. She was an avid reader and took pride in her book clubs.  

Survivors include her brothers, Michael Bernhart, Phillip Bernhart, Timothy (Elaine) Bernhart, and John (Valerie) Bernhart; sister, Jane (Dutch) Hull; and her nieces and nephews, Kris Wilson, Ginger (Jeff) Bennett, Donald Seagrave, Patrick Bernhart, Joe Bernhart, Sarah Tipton, and Daniel (Angel) Bernhart

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Robert Hood, whom she married on July 16, 1986; brother, Peter Bernhart; sisters, Beverly (Robert) Wilson, and Nancie Bernhart; and nephew, Justin Wilson.
