MR. HORACE F. MOSLEY Mr. Horace F. Mosley, 73, long-time car dealer and resident of East Campbell Boulevard, died Saturday, December 14, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Wright officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Memorials may be made to the Maury County Animal Shelter. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Robert Mosley and Nola Pinkleton Mosley. In the 1950s, he served as Chief Deputy of the Maury County Sheriff's Department during the terms of Sheriff Jack Lovett and in the 1970s as a Reserve Deputy. He was a former employee of E. I. DuPont Corporation and for several years was in the Tennessee National Guard. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law. Patsy and David B. Jackson of Columbia; a step-son, Brent Turner of Seattle, Washington; a sister, Katherine Copeland of Columbia; a brother, Grover Mosley of Groveland, California; a granddaughter, Kindal Jackson of Columbia and a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, David S. and Beverly Jackson of Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, George Jones. Active pallbearers are Bobby Allen, Buck Locke, Tubby Murphy, Danny Owen, Frank McBride and Charlie Vaughn. Fellow car dealers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
