Houston Bishop

Houston Bishop, 74, former employee of TVA and former resident of Fred White Road, died Monday, August 22, 2005, at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Anglin Cemetery in Williamson County. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Eugene "Bud" Bishop and Annie Mae Sullivan Bishop Brown. He served in the U. S. Navy. Survivors include one son, Ricky (Lauren) Bishop of Giles County; three grandchildren, Christy Ali, Jonathan Bishop, Benjamin Bishop; one great grandchild, Amirra Ali; three sisters, Christine (Taylor) Foster of Columbia; Margie (Don) Butterworth of Madison, Mary Lee (Fred) Vedder of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Bishop and Ralph Bishop.
