View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Howard Thomas Foster, 85, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence in Columbia, Tennessee. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Santa Fe Cemetery with Mark Thomas, Inize Jones and Lawrence Jackson officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mr. Foster was the son of the late Ray Foster and Christine Reed Foster and husband of Rachel Hill Foster, who he married November 28, 1958. Mr. Foster worked for the City of Columbia where he retired. For many years, he drove a school bus for Santa Fe School, enjoyed farming, and lived many years in the Santa Fe community. He was a member of the Pentecostal church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rachel Foster of Columbia; Sons, Tony (Michelle) Foster of Santa Fe, Jeff (Renéa) Foster of Santa Fe; Sister, Catherine Hoover of Mobley Ridge; Granddaughter, Haley Foster; and loving Yorkie, Scooter. Active pallbearers will include Calvin Hoover, Todd Hill, Bryon White, Tim White, Tommy Conger and Rodney Patterson.
