Mr. Huie Leston Tice, 91, retired carpenter and resident of Morningside Lane, died Sunday, October 26, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He was first married to Odie Mae Gilliam Tice who died in 1943 and later married Lula Mae Haskins Tice who also preceded him in death on September 17, 1997. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, William B. (Betty) Tice of Nashville; one daughter, Sara T. (Marvin "Bill") Duncan of Columbia; two sisters, Lenny T. Haskin and Geneva T. Cherry, both of Columbia; five grandchildren, William D. Duncan of Culleoka; Connie D. Lentz of Columbia; Robbie T. Dunning of Greensboro, North Carolina; Karen T. Shelton of Franklin; John N. Tice of Nashville; and six great grandchildren, Adam Dunning and Austin Dunning, both of Greensboro, North Carolina; Crystal M. Lentz and Wesley Lentz, both of Columbia; and Mallory Tice and Drew Tice, both of Nashville. Pallbearers will be Charlie Ponder, Ronnie Ponder, Scott Ponder, Danny Duncan, John Tice, and Allen Lentz.
