Irene Masterson

MRS. IRENE MASTERSON Mrs. Irene Seibert Masterson, 95, resident of Hampshire House Apartments, died Monday, August 19, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Cape Girardeau County, Missouri native was the daughter of the late Dr. D.G. Seibert and Ella Mai Wilkerson Seibert. She was a graduate of Jackson Central High School in Jackson, Missouri. On October 12, 1929 she married William Elbert Masterson who preceded her in death on July 31, 1983. She was a retired employee of Columbia Bowling Lanes and was active with the Junior Bowling Leagues for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Letha Lou (Cecil) Whiteside of Hampshire; one son Harry Lee Masterson of Columbia; six grandchildren, Glenn (Rosemary) Whiteside, Ms. Dottie Daniel, Jeff (Vicky) Whiteside, Kevin (Joan Marie) Masterson, Lee (Shannon) Masterson, Mrs. Sandy (Gary) Hardison; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Glenn Whiteside, Jeff Whiteside, Kevin Masterson, Lee Masterson, Gary Hardison, Martin Daniel and Clint Daniel.
