Mr. J. B. Riley, 72, former heavy equipment operator and resident of Lookout Drive, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Riley will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Hank Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the son of the late Albert Riley and Docia Davis Riley and a veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Prince Riley of Columbia; three sons, Ronnie (Vera Sue) Riley of Spring Hill, Steve (Gena Sue) Riley and Randy Riley of Columbia; five grandchildren, Jody Riley, Jonathan Riley, Jason Riley, Nicholas Riley and Robbie Riley; a sister, Blanche Holt of Franklin; a niece and a nephew. Active pallbearers are Joe Bell, Ronnie Burgess, Paul Pennington, Don Fly, Jerry Fly, Turner Jones, Bill Fly and Mike Prince. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Fitzgerald, Dr. Gaylon Harris, Dr. Daniel Skarzynski and Dr. Emilio Rodriquez.
