Mr. J. B. Warf, 85, retired forklift operator for Union Carbide Corporation, farmer and resident of Fly Road in the Santa Fe Community, died Friday, March 24, 2006 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Greenbrier Cemetery in Williamson County. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday after 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Hickman County, he was the son of the late William Daniel Warf and Tima Jane Vaughn Warf. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was married October 26, 1947 to the former Hessie Beatrice Kelley, who died August 8, 2005. Survivors include a daughter, Rethea Ann (Dennis) Powers of Decatur, Alabama; a son, Ronald Anthony (Clada) Warf of Brentwood; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
