JACK CAPPS Jack Holderfield Capps, 82, retired employee of White's Glass and Upholstery and resident of Mockingbird Drive, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at VA Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Army Air Corps in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Capps attended West Seventh Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Lillie Mae Tomlinson Capps of Columbia; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Glenn) Puckett of Peachtree City (Atlanta), Georgia; Bethany Capps of Columbia; Mrs. Beverly (Jerry) Vaughn of Columbia; one son, William James (Joyce) Capps of Columbia; eleven grandchildren, Steve Puckett, Melissa Puckett, Julie (Tom) Little, Leslie Morton, Amanda Lukasik, Katie Allen, Josh Potts, Billy Dean Capps, Ashley Capps, Ivana Capps, Juanita Potts Barnett; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Meika Capps. Pallbearers will be family and friends, Jerry Kennedy, Billy Kennedy, Joe Johns, James Hubbell, Earl Robinson, Jerry Vaughn, Tim Morton, Josh Potts, Jo Jo Allen, Glenn Puckett, and Mark Lukasik.
