View Funeral Webcast View Video Tribute James Anthony Wade, 73, retired employee of Randolph & Williams, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at his residence in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Barry Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born September 2, 1944 at St. Thomas Hospital in Davidson County, Tennessee, he was the son the of the late Frank Joseph Wade, Sr. and the late Alberta Reischman Wade. He was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mr. Wade was an avid marble collector and member of the Columbia Area Beekeepers Association. Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Wade (Matt) Jenkins of Nolensville; son, Matthew Wade of Columbia; grandchildren, Danielle Mercer of Nashville; Landry Jenkins (Gabe) Brewer of Fairview; Luke Jenkins of Nolensville; Diesel Colton Wade of Columbia; siblings, Joe (Barbara) Wade; Clara (Dean) Pratt; Louis (Valerie) Wade all of Columbia; nephew, James Dean (Amy) Pratt of Columbia; niece, Cathey (Phillip) Kennedy of Columbia; and great nephews, Cody Kennedy; and Camryn Kennedy both of Columbia. Active pallbearers will be Trevor Tuck, David Yant, Phillip Kennedy, Cody Kennedy, Camryn Kennedy, Luke Jenkins, and Tommy Reischman. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Columbia Area Beekeepers Association.
