James Allison Brunson, 60, resident of Columbia, died Tuesday January 28, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Allison was born on April 30, 1964 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Alvin Brunson and the late Doris Faye Wells Brunson. Allison was a car fanatic who loved NASCAR. He loved music and was very proud to be in a band in High School, he loved the outdoors, especially when mowing with Tina and Lisa. He was a Vanderbilt fan which cause a lot of controversy in their big orange house. Allison never met a stranger and was a friend to all.
Survivors include his son, Daniel (Kelly) Brunson; grandchild, Charlotte J. Brunson; siblings, Cindy Brunson, Sherry (Davy) Masemer; uncle, Wayne (Deborah) Wells; niece, Melinda (Blain) Turner; adopted sisters, Tina Tomlin, Lisa Wilson; Several cousins, and NASCAR buddy, Adam Spears.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Allred Brunson on May 29, 2014.
Pallbearers will be; Adam Spears, Justice Aiden, Hodge Cook, Freddie Wilson, Mike Sanders, Ross Wells, Jeremiah Wells, and Jason Wells.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, doctors, and employees on the second floor stepdown for all of the compassionate care and love shown to Allison.
