James Ethridge "Hambone" Burgett, 43, forklift operator for PSC Fabricating and resident of Crawley Hill Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols. Burial will be in Knob Creek Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 12:00 Noon Sunday at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the son of the late James Walter Burgett, a 1982 graduate of Richland High School in Giles County and an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Dana Haywood Burgett of Columbia; two sons, Joshua Dewayne Burgett and Danny Wayne Burgett, both of Columbia; his mother and step-father, Betty Nolan and Donald Wayne Thomason of Lynnville; grandson, Taylor Burgett of Columbia; two sisters, Carol (Nelson) Roberts of Columbia and Annett Burgett of Spring Hill; mother-in-law, Dot Reese Haywood of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Patricia (John) McNeal of Mt. Pleasant and Pam Davis of Columbia; nieces, Heather Davis, Holly McNeal, Heather Carpenter, Janet (Kyle) Carrier; nephews, Josh (Meagan) McNeal, Kenny Carpenter, and Lee Shelton; great-nieces, Shelby McNeal and Abrianna Davis; great-nephews, Stanton "Road Dog" McNeal and Bryson Brawner. Active pallbearers are Randy Winchester, Dana Davis, Daniel Floid, Josh Brawner, Mike Henson, and Jerry Osbourne. Honorary pallbearers include employees of Tennessee Aluminum Processors and PSC Fabricators.
