James Edward Counts

Mr. James Edward Counts, 66, former employee of the Tennessee Labor Union, died Monday, October 27, 2008 at his residence on North Main Street in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Maury County native was the son of the late Marion Counts and Edith Patterson Counts Stacey. He had previously been employed in maintenance at the Tyler, Texas school system. Survivors include three sons, Terry Counts of Vanceboro, North Carolina, Jason Counts and Jonathan Counts both of Lynnville; and half-brother, Marion Counts of Columbia. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Martin and two sisters, Janice Peay and Janie Beard.
