James Earl “Jim” McKee, 77, retired security guard, died Monday, August 19, 2019 at his residence in the Stiversville Community. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 24, 1941 in Hohenwald, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Jesse Porter McKee and the late Gusta Jane Barber McKee. Mr. McKee was a graduate of Hickman County High School and was known to be a great storyteller. Survivors include his nieces, Christina McKee (Ricky Scribner) and Amanda (Randall) Stanfill both of Columbia; great nieces and nephews, Steven Anderson, Tre McKee, Hanna Anderson, Christi’Ana McKee; and special friend, Betty Burraham. He was preceded in death by his sister, Penny Elizabeth McKee; brother, David Clark McKee; and special aunts, Norma Jean McKee, and Mary Helen Barber. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Clark, R. B. Sands, Ricky Scribner, Steven Anderson, and Tre McKee.
