Mr. James A. Hart, 97, resident of Birchwood Drive, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at NHC Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted at 2p.m., Thursday at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5 - 8p.m. and Thursday from 12noon - 1p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Kentwood, Louisiana native was the son of the late James M. Hart and Lorena Cannon Hart. He was married to Edna Price Bishop Hart who preceded him in death January 4, 2005. He first worked for the railroad then for A.E.D.C. where he retired after 17 years of service. Mr. Hart was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, James W. (Desta) Hart of Paducah, KY; two daughters, Barbara Kay (Robert) Ouellette of Paducah, KY, Aubrey Ann (Ronald C.) Smith of Silver Springs, MD; four grandsons, Mark R. Smith, James C. Hart, Daren P. Smith, John Wesley Cooper; three granddaughters, Teri Hart, Dawn Logeman, Kim Justice; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law James C. (Virginia) Price of Columbia, sisters-in-law, Elsie Price and Mildred Lovett both of Columbia, Selene Price of Tullahoma, Mary Price of Baton Rouge, LA.; and special caregiver, Jennifer Foster. Pallbearers will be Marion Hill, Brandon Stutts, Ray Adams, Bud Creel, Phillip Parrish and Troy Bowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack H. Price, John D. Price, Don Morrow, Rick Mangrum, Dan Hosse, Jeff Craig and Steve Craig.
