James Love James Allen Love, 79, resident of Dimple Court, died Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Nashville. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The Maury County native, son of the late Sloan Love and Izettie Young Love, was raised in the Love's Branch Community. He was married to Dorothy Jean Potts Love who preceded him in death October 13, 1977. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII. Mr. Love was retired from Iron Workers Local 492. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary L. (Barry) Jones of Nashville, Rebecca C. Love (Cham H.) Percer of West Memphis, Arkansas; two sisters, Helen McKee and Judy (Tommy) Counts both of Columbia; one brother, Paul Love of Columbia; and two grandchildren, William Allen Jones and Jennifer Hailey Jones both of Nashville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David Love and Marion Love and one sister, Peggy Mabry. Pallbearers will be members of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the International Iron Workers Union Local 492. Special "thanks" to the medical staff at the Veterans Hospital in Nashville.
