Mr. James Edwin Lynn, 77, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at his residence on McKnight Road in Culleoka. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim, 2014 Elmer Pogue Drive, Columbia, TN 38401. He was owner/operator of Lynn Equipment Company in Detroit, Michigan for 35 years. In addition to being a business owner Mr. Lynn was a farmer, developer, horse trainer and mechanic. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Doyle Wayne Lynn and Edward Steve (Valerie) Lynn both of Culleoka; one daughter, Linda Marie (Bryan) Whatley of Rockwall, Texas; one sister, Ruby Lynch of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Terry Lynn and Gary Lynn. Pallbearers will be Windell Westmoreland, Richard Parks, Jeff Parks, Tim Malone, Aubrey Cowley and Jon Inman.
