James Anthony "Tony" McNeese

James Anthony "Tony" McNeese, 56, resident of Chestnut Drive, died Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Herb Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late James Willard McNeese and Martha Cummings Sullivan. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, and working on lawn mowers. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and loved his dogs; but most important, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer (Juan) Vargas of Columbia; grandchildren, Jaylon McNeese, Joey McNeese, Jacob McNeese; sister, Cynthia (Richard) Bramlett of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Lynn McNeese; and the love of his life, Pamela Faye Fox. Pallbearers will be Jerry Cleary, Tracy Blocker, Blair Brinkley, John Paul, Marvin Dale, and Jeff Dale.
