Jana Gail Robertson

August 29, 1960 — March 1, 2025

Columbia, TN

Jana Gail Wyrick Robertson, 64, beloved wife, mother, bunny, sister, aunt, and friend, died on March 1, 2025. Jana was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on August 29, 1960, to Robert and Pearlie Wyrick.

A graduate of Dumas High School, class of 1978, Jana studied to be a medical assistant at Lubbock Christian College, now Lubbock Christian University. Over the course of her professional life, she was a manager for The Title and Escrow Company, was co-owner of Fun Stuff Jewelry, and served as secretary- though she was truly so much more!- at Columbia Academy for 20 years.

Jana married Chris Robertson on July 31, 1982. Together, they raised their precious sons, Alex and Connor, and later welcomed daughters-in-law Sydney Lee and Sydney Ann and grandchildren Reid, Josephine, Bennett, Ella, and Woods. They built a family full of love, laughter, and fun. Jana treasured her nephews, Jerrod Shelton and Lee Robertson, and loved spending time shopping with and spoiling her honorary daughters, nieces Carly Everson and Jessica Bobel.

Jana was a beacon of strength and light in her community and her neighborhood. A caretaker to all the students at Columbia Academy, Jana always made sure every student felt safe and seen and heard and loved and that every family felt included and taken care of. Jana raised her kids and lived life with her Bunnies- Jolynn Stone, Brenda Bishop, Leah Fuller, Becky Osborne, Nancy Markham, Joanna Mastalerz, and Kim Anderson. She loved the beach, lemons with salt, and spending time with her family and her friends.

Jana is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Pearlie Wyrick; and her mother-in-law, Rita Robertson. She is survived by her husband, Chris Robertson; her son, Alex Robertson, his wife, Sydney Lee, and their children, Reid, Josephine, and Bennett; her son, Connor Robertson, his wife, Sydney Ann, and their children, Ella and Woods; her sister, Carla Shelton, and her husband, Jerry, and their children and grandchildren; her brother, Wade Wyrick; father-in-law, Ken Robertson, his wife, Ethelda; brother-in-law, Mike Robertson, and his wife, Velma, and their children and grandchildren.

Jana Robertson was the epitome of elegance and grace. Through a long struggle with cancer, she never lost her joy, her faithfulness, her calm, her humility, or her kindness. While receiving the care and service of others, she never stopped caring for or serving those around her. Those who loved her will miss her smile and laugh and the genuine love and friendship she gave to all who knew her until we see her again.
