Jane Marie Gilliam Pilkinton

Jane Marie Gilliam Pilkinton, 88, retired employee of Northway Laundry and resident of Cathey Lane, died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt and Tom Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Thomas Gray "Tom" Gilliam and Emmie Virginia Doyle Gilliam. She married Ray W. Pilkinton who preceded her in death May 9, 1993. Mrs. Pilkinton was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Judy (John) Bennett of Hampshire, Betty Lofton of Summerton; granddaughters, Lisa Davis of Chapel Hill, Wanda (Mike) Parker of Shelbyville; great grandchildren, John Tyler Claxton, Brandon Davis, Alyssa Bennett, Caitlyn Bennett, Gracie Parker, Zakkary Parker; great great grandchild, Bentley Zane Claxton; sister-in-law, Nell Gilliam; special nephew, Jerry Walker; and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Selene Walker.Active pallbearers will be John Smith, Jason Clayborne, Mike Kessler, Jerry Elder, C.T. Johnson, A.L. Smith, Mike Parker, and Porter King.
