She grew up in Columbia Tennessee, graduating from Central High School as well as from Columbia State Community College. She was named in the Who’s Who of American Junior Colleges. Janice was known for her beautiful artwork whether it be pen & ink, calligraphy, or colorful fridge magnets; many friends and family have something she created for them. In Atlanta, she sold out at two neighborhood art shows after determining that if you price low people will buy! Janice was an artist at heart in everything she did. Examples include yard work which she renamed “beautification”; decorating a room in creative & artsy ways; and finding shapes of animals in cloud formations. Janice also loved a good game of Boggle and did the daily Jumble. She loved National Parks and managed to see ten of them. As recently as last month she explored New River Gorge National Park in West Virginia.
