Janie Marlin Beard

Mrs. Helen Jane "Janie" Marlin Beard, 60, former employee of Publix Shirt Corporation and resident of Melissa Drive, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Harvel Stockard officiating. Burial will be in Adkisson Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late R. J. Marlin and Edith Patterson Stacey. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Beard, Jr. of Columbia; half-brother, James Counts; uncle Eugene (Patricia) Patterson of Columbia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph & Jennie Mae Beard; sisters-in-law, Faye Marlin of Woodruff, South Carolina; Mrs. Helen (Gilbert) Green of Culleoka; Mrs. Juanita (Bill) Smith of Columbia; and brother-in-law, Tommy (Marilyn) Beard of Columbia. She was preceded in death by son, Timothy Ralph Beard; brother, Jesse Lee Marlin; and adopted sister, Janice Peay. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
