Mrs. Janie Rose Hickman, 92, homemaker and resident of Parrish Hollow Road in the Yokley Community, died Monday, December 9, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Jones, Rev. Steve Vanhooser, and Dr. Stephen Angus officiating. Burial will be in Gibsonville Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday after 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Gibsonville Cemetery Trust Fund, c/o Rayburn Hickman, 1070 Parrish Hollow Road, Lynnville, TN 38472. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Neeley Rose and Nora Etta Chapman Rose. She was married to Russell Perry Hickman who preceded her in death on April 11, 1975. Mrs. Hickman was a member of Lynnville United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Rayburn (Florence) Hickman of the Yokley Community; Joe (Brenda) Hickman of Columbia; one daughter, Nora Dean (Bryant) Angus of Smyrna; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Richard Hickman; one brother, Raymond Rose; and sisters, Mary Owens, Hattie Tatum, Annie Lou Tatum Holbert, and Jewel Lovell. Pallbearers will be Dennis Strickland, Edwin Lovell, Mack Owens, Tommy Tatum, Greg Hinson, and Ralph Spann.
