JC Sharp

Mr. J.C. Sharp, 76, resident of Brittany Court, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late George Thomas "Tommy" Sharp and Mattie Emma Webb Sharp. He was a 1950 graduate of Culleoka High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Mr. Sharp was Station Manager for Red Ace Petroleum Company for 25 years. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Charles Edward "Eddie" (Tracy) Sharp of Sandy, Utah, Frederick Lyle "Freddie' (Kelley) Sharp of Columbia; six grandchildren, Brittany Sharp of Santa Fe, Fallon Sharp, Kayla Turner, Eric Lewis all of Columbia, Shaun Willingham, Kelsey Willingham both of Sandy, Utah; one sister, Mary Williams of Nashville; three brothers, Jesse Sharp of Columbia, George (Teresa) Sharp of Idaho, Odell (Jane) Sharp of Muscle Shoals, AL; and several nieces and nephews. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Central Presbyterian Church.
