MR. J. D. UZZELL Mr. Joe D. "J.D." Uzzell, 86, retired farmer, lathe operator for 25 years at Union Carbide Corporation and resident of New Lewisburg Highway, died Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Oakes and Nichols with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will be in the Philadelphia Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. His wife, Mary Katherine Emerson Uzzell, died January 22, 1999.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, D. C. and Sandra Uzzell of Culleoka and Jimmy and Marie Uzzell of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Mike Uzzell of Culleoka, Angela (Matthieu) Mollet of Huntsville, Alabama and Sonja (Ricky) Roberts of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two great-grandchidren, Caleb Roberts and Sarah Roberts of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; a brother, Felix Uzzell of Lewisburg. Pallbearers are Richard Parks, Jeff Parks, Dale Ring, Burton McDaniel, Jerry Primm and Frank Uzzell.
