Mrs. Jeanette Rose Bargatze Williams, 83, co-owner and operator of Randolph & Williams, Inc. and resident of Oakwood Drive, died Friday, December 21, 2007, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. The Funeral Mass will be recited at 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church with Rev. Davis Chackaleckel, M.S.F.S., Pastor and Mr. Price Keller, Deacon officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday after 9:00 A.M. at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 3019 Cayce Lane, Columbia, TN 38401 or St. Jude Hospital Memorial & Honors Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Davidson County native was the daughter of the late Sim Samuel Bargatze, Sr. and Mary Jo Dunn Bargatze. She was married to William Weaver "Mike" Williams who preceded her in death on February 26, 1996. An avid competition skater, Mrs. Williams was associated with the Hippodrome Skating Rink in Nashville. She was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren and was a communicant of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, Michael D. (Ceci) Williams of Columbia; one daughter, Lojune W. (Mike) Ford of Columbia; one sister, Dorothy B. Sawyer of Nashville; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Williams (Rod) Slaughter, Michael D. (Sarah) Williams, Jr., Tai S. (Brad) Tebben, Kei S. (Brent) Keene, Joey (Melody) Ford, Jimmy Ford, Jill Ford; and two great grandchildren, Cole Williams and Amelia Slaughter. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sim S. Bargatze, Jr. and a sister, Evelyn B. Vaughan Newman. Pallbearers will be Michael D. Williams, Jr., Joey Ford, Jimmy Ford, Rod Slaughter, Brad Tebben, Brent Keene, and Cole Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Ocial Sharpton, Tim Muller, and Robert Bohrman.
