Jennie Mai Brown Ring, 77, resident of Maury County, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Vanderbuilt University Medical Center. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Clay Gentry and Kenny McFarlen officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Mayhue Brown Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 4, 1941 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mayhue Brown and the late Meta Bell Brown. After graduating from Spring Hill High School, she worked as a sales clerk at Hancock Fabrics for several years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and watching hummingbirds. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lanton Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband who she married on July 1, 1960, William “Billy” Coy Ring; sons, Freddy (Brenda) Ring, Kevin (Rachel) Ring, Jason (Maria) Ring; grandchildren, Will (Kasey) Ring, Amy (Cole) Skelton, Ryan (Heather) Ring, Travis (Bethany) Ring, Daniel Ring, Jakob Ring, Rachel Ring, Jackson Ring; great grandchildren, Payton Ring, Bently Ring, Savannah Ring; brothers, Harold (Margie) Brown, Terry Brown (John Eslick); sisters, Patsy (Harold) Huey, Peggy (Stan) Robertson, Shirley Farlow, Debbie (Larry) Collins; sisters-in-law, Faye Ring and Peggy Sampson; brother-in-law, James Burns. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Danny Coy Ring; sister, Judy Burns; brothers-in-law, Joe Farlow, Homer Ring, and Ronnie Ring. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of Lanton Church of Christ and friends from Hancock Fabrics.
