Jennie McCandless Roberts

Mrs. Jennie McCandless Roberts, 89, died Monday, August 4, 2003, at Westview Nursing Home in Murray, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John Gardner McCandless and Minnie Denton McCandless. She was married to Hubert Lee Roberts who preceded her in death November 27, 1994. She was a member of the Nazarene Church. Survivors include two sons, Leonard (Beverly) Roberts of Murray, Kentucky, Johnny (Judy) Workman of Cahokia, Illinois; three grandchildren, Miss Tracy Roberts of Des Plaines, Illinois, Mrs. Denise (Jerry) Steigmeyer, Chicago, Illinois, John (Stacey) Workman, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family members.
