Mrs. Jeraldine Pogue Stewart McCrary, 74, thirty-five year employee of McBrides Grocery, died Sunday, October 1, 2006 at her residence on Denham Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Russ Adcock and Dean Priest officiating. Burial will be in Worley Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Hobert D. Pogue and Ethel Blanche Kirk Pogue. She was a graduate of Hampshire School. She was first married to Louis Stewart who preceded her in death in 1993. Later she married Doyle McCrary who died in 2003. Mrs. McCrary was a member of Maury Hills Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Lancaster of Columbia; a son, Eddie (Beverly) Stewart of Columbia; three grandchildren, Mrs. Jamie (Billy) Browning, Mrs. Amber (Hodge) Cook and Christopher Lancaster all of Columbia; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Lovett, Devin Lancaster, Kaitlyn Browning and Emily Cook; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Ball Romine of Columbia and Mrs. Carolyn (Dean) Priest of Searcy, Arkansas; and two special friends, JoAnn Graham and Patsy Rogers. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Pogue Stewart. Pallbearers will be David Kirk, Tony Ball, Billy Browning, Christopher Lancaster, Hodge Cook and Dean Priest, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Shepherds of Maury Hills Church of Christ.
