MR. JERRY DUNCAN Mr. Gerald Wayne "Jerry" Duncan, 70, retired employee of forty-five years with Morgan Brothers Electric, and resident of Greely Drive, died Thursday, October 3, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan, Wendell Robinson and Jimmy Dooley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Giles County native was the son of the late Bryum Duncan and the late Virginia Brunson Duncan. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann Cothran Duncan of Columbia; four daughters, Jerri Lynn (Marty) Williamson, Linda Kaye Duncan, Lee Ann (Travis) Ketchum all of Columbia and Lisa Carol (Sam) Slaughter of Culleoka; three sisters, Joy Duncan Park of Summertown, Carol Duncan of Columbia, and Nancy (Jimmy) Dooley of Murfreesboro; three brothers Douglas Duncan of Houston, Texas, Frank (Linda) Duncan of Southport, and Bernard (Linda) Duncan of Oviedo, Florida; five grandchildren, Andrew Lee Brumit, Jessica Marie Brumit, Aaron Reed Ketchum, Sara Ann Slaughter, Eli Duncan Slaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jeff Duncan, Jim Dooley, John Allmon, Phillip Duncan, Joe Allmon, Jerry Wayne Duncan, David Duncan, Bob Morgan, Franklin Armstrong and Mike Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Kinnard, Hal Morgan, J.H. Morgan, Dr. Ambrose Langa, and Employees of Morgan Brothers Electric.
