Jerry Patrick Foster, 46, a former longtime resident of Columbia, died Sunday, March 20, 2022 in Manchester where he had made his home for almost two years. A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be conducted Friday, March 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joel Capizzi officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born on September 11, 1975 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Raymond Lee Foster and the late Mildred Marie Justice Foster. He attended Spring Hill High School and later graduated from Columbia Central High School. For several years he worked at the Impact Center in Columbia. Jerry’s passion was wrestling and attending local wrestling events, sports and participating in the Special Olympics. He enjoyed listening to country music, the band Alabama, was in the Alabama Fan Club and loved family gatherings. Survivors include his sister, Jan (Johnny) Watkins of Columbia; brother, Ray “Don” Foster (Donna Reed) of the Wheel Community; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; special lady friend, Connie Slaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gearld “Toody” Dewayne Foster, Sr., Forrest Raymond “Ronnie” Foster, Bobby Foster, Sr. and Bruce Allen Foster; and sister, Linda Sue Hurd. Pallbearers will be Dino Ivkovic, Kenny Wick, Alby Woodard, Bobby Greer, Noah Newkirk, Mackenzie Newkirk and Jeremy Glaser. Honorary pallbearers will be his special friends, Derek Dawson, Daniel Gobble, Rebecca Marrow, Bradley Gower and Kyle Foster. The family would like to extend special thanks to all those who has been his caregiving family throughout his life, Manchester Health & Rehab and Compassus Hospice.
