Jerry Ray Palmer

Mr. Jerry Ray Palmer, 66, resident of Dry Weakley Road in Ethridge, died Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at NHC Hillview. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Dan Buie officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Cullman, Alabama native was the son of the late Willie Warner Palmer and Dessie May Dooley Palmer. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by a brother, William Ray (Shirley Ann) Palmer of Ethridge; two nephews, Billy Ray Palmer of Ethridge, James (Heather) Palmer of Columbia; one niece, Sharon Ann Palmer Tosh of Columbia; and one great-niece, Sarah Caitlin Palmer of Ethridge. Pallbearers will be David Riley, Malloy Cummings, Jimmy Curry, William Sanders, Ricky Lovell and Bobby Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of JRN Incorporated, employees of Columbia Power & Water, and the staff at NHC Hillview. A special thank you to Dr. Andrew W.
