Jesse Hubert Smith Jr

Mr. Jesse Hubert Smith, Jr., 59, resident of West 13th Street, died Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Baker and Pastor Harold Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with full military honors. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4- 8p.m. at the funeral home. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Chasitdy Bucy of Columbia; two sons, Jake Monroe Gaines of Columbia, Jesse Gaines of Summertown; two step-daughters who he reared, Melissa Sullivan of Summertown and Misty Sullivan of Columbia; four sisters, Mrs. Sandra Romo of Columbia and Mrs. Barbara (Victor) Fulmizi both of Columbia, Mrs. Kathlene (James) Green of Joelton, Miss Brenda Smith of Columbia; three brothers, Edward Smith and John David Smith both of Columbia, Ronnie Dale (Virginia) Smith of Venice, California; and special friends, Ricky Patton, Regina Burks, Brian Smith, Neesha Gaines, Josh Gaines, James Moon and Chris Bucy. Pallbearers will be Ricky Patton, Jake Gaines, Edward Smith, Victor Fulmizi, Robert Burks and Chris Bucy.
