Mrs. Jessie Lorene Derryberry Parrish, 98, former resident of Apache Trail and Carter's Creek, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Hoppus and Rev. Ray Newell officiating. Burial will be in Neapolis Cemetery. She was married to Charles Herbert Parrish who preceded her in death. Mrs. Parrish was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Frances Ann Wright of Columbia, formerly of Nashville; Mrs. Mariellen McRae of Murfreesboro; Mrs. Alpha Blackburn of Brentwood; Mrs. Tommie Lovell of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Owen Derryberry, Jim Derryberry, Jack Derryberry, Murray Wilhoite, Roy Wilhoite, Charles Blackburn, and Hollis Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be M. T. Potts, Donald Kincaid, Gerald Martin, James Minatra, Frank Fite, Paul Dale, Jack Butler, Randy Fox, Terry Prewitt, Eddy Hutcherson, J. L. Porter, Jeff Rector, Wayne Lyles, Joe Roberson, David Wise, Sammy Hickman and Eddie Alsup.
