Mrs. Virginia Jewell Adkison Bone, 86, former employee of Dixie Manufacturing and former owner/operator of J. J. Bone Grocery in the Campbell Station Community and resident of Tanyard Hollow Road, died Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Sunday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Frank Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Willie Everett Adkison and Bessie Fox Adkison. She was married to Jimmie Joe Bone who preceded her in death on June 28, 1984. Mrs. Bone was a former member of Culleoka United Methodist Church, Circle of Friends and former Campbell Station FCE. She was a charter member of the Chairman's Club at First Farmers and Merchants Bank. Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Don) Dial of Mansfield, Texas; one son, Jimmie Ray (Nelda) Bone of Culleoka; special friend, Margaret Rector of Columbia; five grandchildren, Karen (Darren) Wright of Hurricane Mills, Tennessee; Sherri (Tommy) Bagsby of Chapel Hill; Christopher Dawson of Redmond, Washington; Britney (Brian) Vance of Columbia; Kevin Troope of Murfreesboro; three step grandchildren, David Dial, Renee Graves, Nancy Standsbury; six great grandchildren, Kristen Beasley, Samantha Bagsby, Ginni Le Bagsby, T. J. Bagsby, Alexis Vance, Yuma Dawson; two great great grandsons, Hunter and Ashton; and eight step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Natalie Dawson and a foster brother, Ralph Adkison. Pallbearers will be Harold Bone, Tommy Bagsby, T. J. Bagsby, Christopher Dawson, Don Dial, Kevin Troope, and Darren Wright.
