Jill Catherine Martin

Miss Jill Catherine Martin, 37, resident of Bel Air, Maryland, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30p.m. Sunday at Spring Hill Memorial Cemetery with Dr.. James G. Hughes, Jr. and Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at 1550 Halifax Drive in Spring Hill. Miss Martin was a native of Durham, North Carolina and the daughter of Jim and Judy Martin of Columbia. She was a 1986 graduate of Bel Air High School and a 1990 graduate of Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania. She earned a Masters Degree at Towson State. She taught school for 15 years at Garrett Heights Elementary in Baltimore City. For much of her life she was active as a member and/or leader of Young Life in Bel Air. Miss Martin was a member of Harford Community Church and a past member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church. Survivors in addition to her parents are a brother, John Martin of Indianapolis, Indiana; a sister, Anna (Tom) Brown of Spring Hill; one niece, Megan Brown of Spring Hill; and one nephew, Drew Brown of Spring Hill.
