Jo Ann Winn Lane, 83, retired Machine Operator for PSC Industries, Inc. and resident of Culleoka, died Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Doris Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born July 1, 1938 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Winn and the late Ruby Watson Winn. On January 24, 1955, she married Alfred Doyle Lane, Sr. who preceded her in death May 10, 1999. Mrs. Lane enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved cooking, being outdoors, and working in her flower garden. Mrs. Lane was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Thomas of Culleoka; sons, Doyle Lane, Jr. of Culleoka; Billy Frank Lane of Columbia; Jimmy Ray Lane of Culleoka; James Edward (Jennifer) Lane of Columbia; sister, Eva Mai Pruitt of Columbia; grandchildren, Cassidy (Kyle) Sanders, Kristina Lane, Zachary Lane (Sabrina Sorrells), Jeshua (Rachael) Lane, Caitlin Lane, Landon Lane; great grandchildren, Ryder Sanders, Micah Sanders, Kinsley Sorrells; sister-in-law, Mary Winn of Nashville; brother-in-law, John (Brenda) Kirtley; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, William Earl Winn, Johnny George Winn, Boyd Thomas Winn; daughter-in-law, Catherine Lane; and granddaughter, Patricia Thomas. Active pallbearers will be Doyle Lane, Jr., Zachary Lane, Jeshua Lane, George Mayne, Tommy Winn, and Dale Burgess. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Davis and past and present employees of PSC Industries, Inc.
