Jo Anne Roberts Chatman, 81, caregiver and resident of Etheridge, died Saturday, April 25, 2020 at NHC Columbia. No services are scheduled at this time. Born July 18, 1938 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Howard Roberts and the late Mary Ella Boyd Roberts. She married Ernest Eslick Chatman who preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. Chatman enjoyed working at Murdick’s Fudge in Mackinac, Michigan and was of Protestant faith. Survivors include her sons, Terry (Sandy) Chatman of Jacksonville, Florida; Victor Owen (Ashley) Chatman of Thompson Station; daughters, Vanessa (Steven) Williams of Culleoka; Tracy (Franklin) Burk of Columbia; sisters, Linda Lawrence of New York; Katherine Hodge of Mt. Pleasant; Debbie Sharp of Etheridge; Carolyn Small of Michigan; brother, Donnie Roberts; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marion Dawn Chatman; brother, Melvin Roberts; and sister, Tammy Roberts.
