Mrs. Josephine Carol "Jo Carol" Cox Patterson, 66, resident of Highland Ave., died Tuesday, May 2, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Houston Cox, Sr. and Agnes Marie Fraser Cox. She was a 1959 graduate of Central High School and attended Aquinas Junior College from 1961 - 1963. In 1964 she received her nursing degree from St. Thomas School of Nursing. She was an original member of the Order of Rainbow Girls Maury County Chapter. On January 22, 1966 she married State Representative Larry Samuel Patterson of Hope, Arkansas who preceded her in death May 10, 1978. She was a retired registered nurse and State of Arkansas Public Health Nurse. Mrs. Patterson was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church and former member of First United Methodist Church in Hope, Arkansas. Survivors include a daughter, Jan Kristen Patterson (Rob) Greenwood of Rockvale; two sons, L. Samuel (Lori) Patterson, Jr. of Columbia, Zane Blake Patterson of Bellevue; and seven grandchildren, McKenzie Greenwood, Zachary Greenwood, Kennedy Greenwood all of Rockvale, Chloe Patterson, Will Patterson, Austin Davis, Savannah Patterson all of Columbia.
