Joan Ann Lopez Johnson

Joan Ann Lopez Johnson, 79, a resident of Columbia, and former salesclerk for Kroger died Saturday, October 21, 2023, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

Born July 11, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes Hojnecki Lopez. Joan was employed with the New York City Transit Authority as a Token Clerk before moving to Columbia. Later she worked for K-Mart in Columbia until their closing, and then as a cashier for Kroger. Mrs. Johnson was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Marie (Robert) Crigger of Lynnville; brother, John (Marylyn) Lopez of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Heather (Dillian) Adams of Cornersville , Patrick Garrett of Lynnville, Christopher Garrett, of Lynnville; niece, Denise (Pete) Rodriguez of Long Island, NY; nephew, John Lopez of Long Iland, NY; and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
