View Funeral Webcast Joan Richardson Trulove, 88, retired Real Estate Agent with White-Woodard and former manager of Colony House Apartments, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Magnolia Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 21, 1933 in Doylestown, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Nolan Richardson and the late Katherine Morton Richardson. On June 13, 1959, she married William Donald “Don” Trulove who preceded her in death November 9, 2012. She was a graduate of Marshall County High School and attended Freed-Hardeman University. Mrs. Trulove was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved collecting antiques, dolls, and spending time with her children, grandsons, and great grandsons. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Jo Trulove (Bobby) Baker of Ethridge; son, Tod Kevin (Tamara) Trulove of Columbia; sisters, Mary Jane (Jimmy) Spivey of Lewisburg; Dorothy “Dot” Lewter of Huntsville; grandchildren, Robert Gaston Baker, William Garrett Baker, Michael Tyler (Amberlee) Trulove, Parker Evan Trulove; great grandchildren, Nealon Alexander Baker, Isaac Joel Baker; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Bobby Baker, Gaston Baker, Garrett Baker, Michael Trulove, Parker Trulove, and Brian Brown. Jimmy Spivey will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Magnolia Health and Rehab and Avalon Hospice for the care shown to Mrs. Trulove.
