Mrs. Joanne Goad Hanson, 65, resident of Thomas Avenue, died Monday, August 23, 2004 at Vanderbilt Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Lasting Hope Cemetery. The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Josh Goad and Juanita Edmiston Goad. She attended Jones High School in Lynnville and Central High School in Columbia. She was employed by Storktowne/Weather Tamer and Edric/Publix Shirt Plant and operated several second hand stores in Columbia. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Hanson of Columbia; three children, Brenda Boshers of St. Joseph, Donna (Richard) Tinsley of Columbia, Wayne (Linda) Tomlin of Mt. Pleasant; four step-children, Kevin Hanson of Culleoka, Mrs. Leslie K. Boshers of Columbia, Phillip Hanson of Spring Hill, Jason Hanson of Dickson; one sister, Mrs. Louise (Bill) Chaffin of Columbia; three grandchildren, Dewaena Lee, Amanda Joanne McKennon, Jessica Nicole Boshers; one great-grandchild; Joshua Alvin Lee; nine step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Jennifer Michelle Boshers. Pallbearers will be Gene Fitzgerald, Steve Derryberry, Chris Cotten, David Lee Estes, Kevin Hanson, Jason Hanson, Raymond Anderson and Cameron Hanson.
