Mrs. Joanne Wales Kinney, 46, secretary for Atlas Fence Company, died Monday, January 8, 2007 at her residence on Bear Creek Pike. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Edward Wales and Mary Imogene Brown Wales. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, David Allen Kinney of Columbia; one daughter, Kim (David) Smithson of Columbia; two sons, Adam (Regina) Kinney and Joey (Jamie) Wales, both of Columbia; six grandchildren, Gunner Smithson, Kayla Smithson, Dakota Smithson, Colton Wiss, Keaton Kinney, Layla Patterson; and three brothers, Roy (Sue) Wales, Danny Wales, Michael Fallen, all of Alabama. She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Wales. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
